If your child ever thought about being the next Ava Duvernay or Spike Lee, the Film production program BEYOND THE LENS ACADEMY,  is accepting applications for their inaugural program for High School Juniors and Seniors. The Rhode Island Black Film Festival created the Beyond the Lens Academy  to meet the growing need of video production personnel for the growing number of films productions in Rhode Island and Southern New England. RI Black Film Festival is accepting submissions. If your film has screened at another festival or just completed production, submit it now to be part of the 6th annual Fil Festival: Black Culture in Films slate of films.
The RIBFF is dedicated to presenting films that showcase films from around the world. Film Festivals, Filmmakers, and Actors, reviews and links to filmmaker and actor show reels.

Our Film Festival allows for filmmakers and film lovers to connect who want to make the most of the Festival Experience. Interviews with Festival Directors, Programmers and Award-Winning Filmmakers will offer insights on how festivals are managed; how films are chosen; and what a filmmaker should do once her or his film is selected.
